Introducing the Act Now Programme: Revolutionising Education and Personal Success

At Storyy Group, we’re thrilled to unveil our latest initiative – The Act Now Programme – a transformative high-risk re-engagement programme designed to prepare young people for success in both mainstream education and their future careers.

Empowering Young Minds for a Brighter Future

Our Act Now programme is uniquely tailored for young individuals on the cusp of exclusion from school. Over a focused 6-week period, we deliver intensive intervention and tutoring to groups of six students from Years 7-9 and Years 10-11. This structured, yet dynamic curriculum is designed not just to reintegrate them into school but to inspire and equip them for life’s challenges ahead.

A Blend of Education, Sports, and Trades

Each week is an intricate blend of:

Educational Intervention: Tailored sessions focusing on personal development, academic improvement, and life skills.

Physical Activity: Engaging in sports like boxing and football, and gym sessions, fostering physical health and discipline.

Practical Learning: Exposure to trades and real-world skills, broadening horizons and igniting new interests.

Mentorship with a Difference

Under the guidance of mentors like Thomas Jarvis, a retired professional boxer turned youth mentor, and Moses, who has turned his life experiences into a force for positive change, our students receive unparalleled support and inspiration. Their life stories and personal journeys add an invaluable dimension to our programme, resonating deeply with our young participants.

A Journey of Self-Discovery and Development

The Act Now programme is more than an intervention; it’s a journey of self-discovery and development. We aim to instil structure, focus, resilience, and a sense of responsibility, transforming not just behaviour but also aspirations and attitudes.

Weekly Structure: A Balanced Approach

Our programme operates in two shifts – morning for Years 7-9 and afternoon for Years 10-11. We start each day with a ‘Soft Start’, easing into a full schedule of interventions, tutoring, and activity sessions, culminating in ‘Enrichment Day’ on Fridays. This day is reserved for group discussions, reviewing the week, and setting realistic targets, enriched by guest talks from relatable business owners.

Your Role in Their Story

We believe in community-driven change. As we embark on this journey, we invite you to be a part of it. Whether you’re a Local Authority, School, or someone who knows a young person who could benefit from the Act Now programme, we’re just a referral away.
