Safeguarding at Storyy

At Storyy Group, all staff and directors fully recognise the contribution the organisation makes to safeguarding children and young people.  We recognise our moral and statutory responsibilities to safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people and that all staff are responsible for safeguarding. We provide a safe and welcoming culture and environment where all children, young people and staff are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that young people receive effective support and protection.

Staff use CPOMS to record any concerns regarding children and young people and these are shared with the referring school.

Managing Allegations

Storyy Group takes allegations made against staff seriously. There are two levels of allegations, concerns or allegations that may meet the harm threshold and those that do not, these are known as ‘low-level concerns’. If an allegation is made that any person who works with Storyy Group has

·    behaved in a way that has harmed a child, or may have harmed a child

·    possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child

·    behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates he or she may pose a risk of harm to children, or

·    behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates they may not be suitable to work with children

Then this is known as the ‘harm threshold’. These should be immediately reported to Rebecca Sherwood, our DSL. Low level concerns are reported to Natalie Lee, Head of Operations. All staff concerns are recorded on Cpoms Staff Safe.
