Care Sector Courses & Qualifications

Our comprehensive Care Sector courses are designed to make a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and their families. If you are recruiting staff that are new to the industry, our courses will ensure that they are compliant to work within your company. We also offer courses for management and supervisor roles, allowing you to offer clear progression for your staff.

Residential Childcare Level Three

This qualification is part of the new children’s homes regulations, which came into force in April 2015; all new starters within the industry must be registered on the new Residential Childcare qualification. This course will develop the knowledge and skills needed to work with children and young people in residential childcare settings. You will gain essential skills to help you support children and young people in care, including being able to address topics such as health and safety, sexual exploitation, well-being, and positive behavioural outcomes.

Children, Young People & Families Practitioner Level Four

This qualification will give you the skillset to work across several settings within children’s residential care; this includes young people who might be living on their own or in a larger group. You will gain the prowess to take the lead when it comes to developing and delivering a child’s placement plan and will work with children to support their health, education, social skills and day-to-day needs.

Children, Young People & Families Manager Level Five

This course will give you the skills to ensure there is direction, alignment and commitment within your own practices, as well as across teams, organisations and partnerships. You will be able to help children, young people and their families aspire to do their best and achieve sustainable change, whilst building teams, managing resources and leading new approaches within working procedures. This qualification will help you to deliver better outcomes and put the child, young person or family at the centre of practice.
