Storyy Group – End of Year Reflection 2025

A look back at an incredible year of impact, growth, and success

As the academic year comes to an end, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been another outstanding year across Storyy AP. From expanding our reach to supporting more young people than ever, we’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved by our dedicated team and the brilliant students we work with every day.

Since September 2024, we’ve received an incredible 194 referrals, a strong reminder of the growing need for alternative provision that meets young people where they are. From those referrals, we’ve welcomed 99 new students into our settings, each with their own story, journey, and goals. In total, 138 young people have been supported across our provisions this year, with 10 more students set to join us next term.

One of our proudest achievements has been our successful reintegration of 45 students back into mainstream education. Supporting young people through this transition and helping them rebuild confidence in the classroom is core to what we do and it’s a testament to the effort of our teams and the resilience of our students.

In addition to in-house support, we’ve expanded our outreach programmes, working with 33 young people in school settings and building strong partnerships with 18 new schools across the year. Through our wider engagement, we’ve also delivered 96 assemblies across 41 schools, sharing key messages and reaching over 16,900 students on topics that really matter.

We’re also celebrating the 440 AQA accreditations achieved by our learners this year, covering a wide range of practical, academic, and personal development areas. Five young people successfully completed their exams, and we provided 1:1 tutoring for 12 students, helping them progress with personalised support.

This year also saw the launch of IXL, our new online learning platform for Maths and English. Every student now has access to targeted academic support tailored to their learning level, giving them more independence and flexibility in how they study.

We’ve continued to prioritise creative, therapeutic, and community-based learning. One standout project was Stay True to You, delivered in collaboration with Slough and Reading Police and the Youth Offending Team, which tackled important issues around knife crime awareness. Our young people also wrote and recorded original music in our very own Birch Hill music studio, using creativity as a powerful outlet for self-expression and confidence-building.

Our outreach work in over 12 schools has supported prevention, early intervention, and tailored mentoring and we’ve continued to build strong connections with local businesses, who’ve come on board to offer services and support that benefit our young people in real, tangible ways.

Staff Highlights

This year also marked a milestone for our team, with Lee delivering his first teacher training session on Toxic Masculinity, receiving fantastic feedback. More sessions are planned for the next academic year, supporting school staff to address key social issues with confidence and care.

Community Connections

We’ve been busy building strong links with local businesses, who have stepped up to offer services and support, helping to broaden the opportunities available to our young people and strengthen our shared commitment to positive change.

Thank You!

There are so many achievements this year, far too many to list. Every member of the Storyy team, every young person, every school and every partner has played a part in making this year so memorable.

From everyone at Storyy AP, thank you for your commitment, passion, and support. Here’s to an even bigger and better year ahead.
