Registered Manager (Children’s Home)

To lead on the provision of high standards of nurturing care to children and young people, aged eight to eighteen years, who have experienced traumatic life experiences, and who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties. To use therapeutic parenting approaches to care for children and young people to help them reach their full potential.

To manage the home and lead the team. To oversee effective safeguarding, care, and support for the children/ young people in your care.

Duties

  • Leadership and Management: Oversee the smooth operation of the children’s home, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people. Lead, manage, and support a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring they meet regulatory and operational standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and requirements. Maintain up-to-date records and ensure audits and inspections are carried out as required.
  • Care Plans and Supervision: Develop and implement care plans for children and young people, ensuring their individual needs are met. Provide regular supervision and support to staff to ensure a high standard of care.
  • Staff Development: Monitor the performance of the team and identify areas for professional development and training. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to and that the young people’s emotional, physical, and psychological needs are met in a safe environment.
