Role Purpose:

You will deliver compassionate care using therapeutic parenting approaches, helping our young residents navigate their daily challenges and celebrate their successes. This role is about making a tangible difference, providing support and creating opportunities for personal development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard and prioritise the well-being of our young people, ensuring their safety through vigilant practice.
  • Implement therapeutic parenting techniques such as PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to build trust and support personal growth.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with the young people, assisting them in forming and maintaining positive external relationships.
  • Promote physical, emotional, and social well-being, and support educational and vocational pursuits.
  • Maintain a stable and welcoming home environment, adhering to health and safety standards and contributing to home maintenance.


Who We’re Looking For:

Experience and Knowledge: Experience in a residential care setting is crucial. Familiarity with child development theories and therapeutic practices is highly desirable.

Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage complex behaviours sensitively, and capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications: A relevant Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or the commitment to achieve this.
